What we do
RAMADAN
During the holy month of Ramadan, we successfully provided Ramadan food packages to over 2,000 vulnerable families in the Karamoja sub-region of Northern Uganda.
It is the responsibility of IRC to conduct on-site visits and assist these communities with their essential needs.
QURBAN
IRC identifies underserved communities and provides them with meat during Eid al-Adha. We have successfully implemented this project for the past five years, benefiting numerous individuals.
Your donation enables us to extend our reach to additional areas in need, spreading support and joy among the less fortunate.
WATER WELL
We have been actively raising funds to construct water wells in numerous underserved areas of Karamoja, a semi-arid region where many residents lack access to clean water.
The IRC has intervened on the ground to assist those in need by facilitating access to safe and clean water.
Since 2020, we have successfully established over 100 water wells across Uganda, significantly contributing to the promotion of a clean water environment.
ORPHAN FEEDING
Over 5,000 vulnerable orphans in the Karamoja region are suffering from a lack of food and educational support.
We have contributed to several initiatives aimed at assisting these orphans, including the construction of a school in Dokolo that currently supports approximately 300 orphans. However, this effort remains insufficient. We therefore urgently appeal to all those willing to support this cause to join us in providing further assistance.
EMMERGENCY RELIEF
IRC has actively responded to multiple crises in Uganda, including the devastating landslides in Bududa District that resulted in thousands of fatalities.
We successfully distributed food packages and shelter to impoverished families in Budaka District, as well as to victims affected by flooding.
Additionally, we provided tents to support displaced communities.
MASJID COSTRUCTION
We have successfully constructed over 15 mosques in various regions of Northern Uganda.
This facilitates congregational prayers (Salat al-Jama'ah), thereby fostering Islamic moral and spiritual values.
There remains a significant need for additional mosques across many areas in Uganda.
